Submitted a couple of deviations today, primarily lineart. Also submitted a whole basketfull of scraps today, which are mostly character sketches from recent roleplaying games. (Only the ones I liked best, though).

Most of my newer work is only half done, particularly the color bits, and they're going to have to stay that way until I do something about this broken tablet. :(

Nothing important, really.

I'm just getting the journal feature thing off my front page... I find it personally embarrassing that after three weeks, no one has commented.

Pretty much the way it works is that you comment here, I look through your gallery and feature 3 pieces of your art in this journal, then you post this in your own journal with three of my pieces and however many of the first comments you choose.

I got this from :iconrin-shi: so here are the three of hers I picked:
[link] A simple tutorial for pixel hair
[link] Dolling challenge ... good luck to anyone who tries doing all 100!
[link] A cute little doll in a summery blue dress.

I'll pretty much feature anyone who comments below.

Person 1!
1.
2.
3.

Person 2!
1.
2.
3.

And so on ...

Just a reminder that commissions are still open. [link]

It's hard to type with only one hand free, so I've been putting off this journal entry. That which is usually taking up my other arm is napping now, though.

So Lydia was born on Friday, March 27 at 10:46 a.m., and was 8 lbs, 6 oz and 21 inches long. I think she's adorable, but since I'm biased I also get to say that everyone else thinks so too. My new dev ID proves it, so there. Go look at my cute baby.

I find that my new role as a mother has been considerably easier to transition into than my new role as a homemaker. This whole business of staying home rather than going to work seems odd.

The sleep loss from being a new mommy hasn't been too hard on me, though- I'm used to short hours and nap easily. It's mostly been difficult to get any work done, since my work primarily consists of building a website and sculpting/painting mezuzot to sell on said website. I'll post a few up later when I've actually got them up for sale.

I'm also trying to get into doing some millefiori work with the Sculpey, and have some ideas for a really nice mezuzah or two using the technique. My time to draw has also been limited, but I've managed a few quick sketches ... that I haven't gotten around to scanning yet. One or two are too racy for DevArt anyway, though.

Just a reminder: commissions are still open. [link] I'll make time for them, I promise.

So, we've moved, and all of the painting and the unpacking and the small home repairs and the putting the nursery together and so on and so forth have been keeping me really busy. Then again, so have all the doctor's appointments and baby showers and more doctor's appointments and the requisite naps that come with being so darn tired all the time.

[subliminal message] I'm not working now with Lydia due any day, so if you want to buy a commission, now would be an excellent time. Hint hint. [/subliminal message]

For those unaffected by subliminal messages (which I so did not include in my journal anyway. Really), the baby is a girl, her name will be Lydia, and she is due any day now (nay! any moment!). She has great love for orange juice, epic music of various sorts, and kicking her mommy in the ribs.

With all this business going on, I haven't had a lot of time to draw. I did make Lyddie a really cute mezuzah out of Sculpey, though. I also keep meaning to upload some older work (scraps, mostly), but my scanner had died. I ended up getting a new one with the new computers we bought to replace the ones that were stolen when someone broke into our new house (fortunately, no one was hurt and nothing was actually broken), so hopefully I'll get something up. Eventually.

If anyone happens to have any pictures of my bunny, Zaecheck (AKA Baby Z) for any reason, I'd like to have them sent. She passed away not long ago, and all of my photos were on the computer that got stolen except for one or two that I had on my Photobucket account.

So there's my last few months of excitement in a nutshell.

[subliminal message] You really want to buy a commission, don't you? [/subliminal message]
